Obituary of Nora Pratt
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nora “Node” Susan Pratt of Fredericton, NB. Nora passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 25, 2016, with her husband of 61 years and her family by her side. Born on February 24, 1930 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Beek) Dobson. She worked at Hartt Shoe Factory. She was a member of the New Road Pentecostal Church. Nora enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading.
In addition to her husband, Frederick Pratt Sr., she is survived by her daughters, Nelvana Stewart (Dennis) of Doaktown, NB, Darlene Carrier and Nola O’Donnell both of Fredericton, NB; son, Frederick Pratt Jr. (Pauline) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Mark, Troy, Darcy, Kelly, Jill, Andrew, Jessica and Dillon; great grandchildren, Rachelle, Jordan, Nicholas, Slade, Coleton, Brady, Brynn, Rebecca, Zacharie, Benjamin, Bethany, Leah, Coral, Hunter and Avery; seven great great grandchildren, Hudson, Emma, Hayden, Gavin, Kaleigh, Kassidy and Jayden; sisters, Rosella Harris of Fredericton, NB, Juanita Carr of Doaktown, NB; brother, Wesley Munn of Chatham, NB, Reginald Munn (Betty) of Fredericton, NB and Richard Dobson (Beatrice) of Doaktown, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Gregory Munn (Lisa); infant sister, Patricia Munn; sisters, Nola Thompson, Christina Ballard, Mabel Parker, Phyllis Llewlyn and Marie Kelso; brothers, Nathaniel and Milburn Munn.
Visitation will take place at Abundant Life Church, Main Street, Doaktown, NB on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 1-2 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Darren Munn officiating and Rev. Ronald Carroll assisting. Interment will take place in First Pentecostal Cemetery, Doaktown, NB. Sincere thanks to Dr. Gordon Plummer and Dr. Corey Stevens for their excellent care, extra kindness and home visits. Also a huge “Thank You” to Extra Mural , especially nurse, Darlene Magrum.
