Obituary of B. Patricia Wood

The passing of B. Patricia “Pat” Wood of Fredericton, NB, wife of Dr. George Wood, occurred on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Parkland Shannex - Thomas Hall. Born on March 15, 1933 in Middletown, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Bessie (MacCurdy) Vivian. She was a life long member of the Y's Menettes' and was member of the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Guild. For many years she was a volunteer at the York Care Centre and was very active with Meals on Wheels. Pat loved to bake and was a great cook, she also enjoyed playing golf. In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by her sons, Bruce (Ann) and Gary (Linda) both of Fredericton, and Laurie (Debbie) of Riverview; grandchildren, Megan (Jason), Taylor (Brittany), Sara (Mike), Sam, Lindsay, Andrew and Alex; great grandchildren, Brooke Lynn, Kameron, Jayden and Damien. At the request of the family, there will be no Visitation. A Funeral Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Stone Church on Monday July 11, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating and Rev. Dr. Ross Hebb assissting. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery following the service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church - Stone Church Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
