Sincere sympathy to you Natalie and family. Your Dad was special to our family as he lived with us when he first came to Sydney. Roddie & Gladys and myself held him in high regards. He was a pallbearer at both their funerals.
He always came to visit them and he even came to visit me on a trip to Sydney after moving up with you . I thought of him a lot and wondered how he was,
Again sympathy to all and take care,
Betty

A truer gentleman I have not known. I still fondly recall the hours and days I spent with him. Thought about your mom and dad often. My sincerest condolences. It's a lesser place without him.

When I was six or seven years old in the late 1960's, my parents renovated our old home on Argyle St. in Sydney, NS. Aubrey Dawson was the carpenter who did it all. As a little kid watching such a massive renovation of an old house, Aubrey Dawson was like a hero. I never forgot his patience with a little kid who was often under foot. He used to whistle and sing to all the top songs of the day and always had a joke or funny story to tell. I remember him singing the song "Little Arrows" frequently. My condolences to his family. He was a nice and good man.
P.S. Mrs. Dawson from Haig St. never taught me but when we were kids she was the teacher everyone wanted to have.
