Obituary of Louise Thibodeau
The passing of Louise Amanda Thibodeau of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 3, 1946 in Campbellton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Cécile (DeLamirande) Thibodeau. Louise was a registered nurse, graduating from Hotel Dieu Bathurst in 1968, working several years in Bathurst, then worked at the DVA (Veterans Health) in Fredericton until her retirement. She was an active member of the Holy Family Parish.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Lisa Doucet (Mario Jodoin) of Saint Hippolyte, QC and Carol Travers (Ray) of Royal Road, NB; son, Philippe Pierre Doucet (Reese) of Lethbridge, AB; grandchildren, Amanda, Charlotte, James and Samuel; sisters, Lucille Letourneau (Kevin) of Campbellton, NB and Madeline McDonald (Steve) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Sam, as she is known by her close friends and family, also leaves behind her beloved pets, Coco and Ross. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her children’s father, Paul Doucet.
A Memorial Mass will take place at Holy Family Parish, Hanwell, NB on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 12 noon with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in Mary Queen Cemetery, McLeod, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Holy Family Parish or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
