Obituary of Carol-Ann McRae

The passing of Carol-Ann Jane (Archibald) McRae, life partner of Glen Lyons, of Hanwell, NB, occurred on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on April 14, 1958 in Campbellton, NB, she was a daughter of Olive Ann (Butler) Archibald and the late John “Jack” Archibald. Carol-Ann was a member of Marysville United Church. She was an organist and choir director at several United Churches. Carol-Ann had a keen interest in knitting, crafts and spending time with her grandson Cole. She was a Business Analyst with NB Power and a member of the 25 Year Club. Carol-Ann is survived by her son Scott McRae (Tiffany); step-daughter Heather Anne Lyons; sisters Margaret Archibald (Eric Bishop) and Marjorie Jewell (Mark); brother John Archibald (Kathy); grandson Cole McRae; several nieces and nephews and best friends Donna Perry, Susan York, Eleanor Burpee, Myfanwy Davies, Barb Graham and Gary Arsenault. Besides her father, Carol-Ann was predeceased by her baby sister, Mary. There will not be any visitation. The Memorial Service will take place at Marysville United Church, Fredericton, NB on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 2pm with Rev. David Brewer officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank, Dr Gowan, Dr. Reid, Dr. Anan, the rest of the Oncology Medical Team and the Palliative Care Unit, for their compassionate care of Carol Ann.
