Obituary of Jessie Johnson

The death of Jessie Elizabeth Johnson occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Monday, May 2, 2016, after a period of failing health. Born in Bathurst, NB on October 15, 1945, she was the wife of Robert Johnson and the daughter of the late Gladys (Beattie) and James Arnold. Jessie was an avid camper and also enjoyed country music and was a big Elvis fan. She enjoyed being with family at the Bay of Chaleur and loved spending time at Grand Lake. Besides her husband, Jessie is survived by one son, Robert (Michelle) and one daughter, Tammy (Troy); sister, Nancy LeBlanc of Kelowna, BC; brothers, James Arnold Jr. of Fredericton, NB and Kenny Arnold of St. John’s, NL; four granddaughters, Kimberly, Jessica, Samantha and Haley; three grandsons, Christopher, Michael and Matthew; her companion, “BJ”. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Andrew in 2015 and one granddaughter, Jennifer in 2008. There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place and arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB.
