Obituary of Della White

Life Legacy It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Della May (Hagerman) White of New Maryland, NB, wife of Ward White which occurred on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 19, 1925 in Upper Hainesville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Edith (Thompson) Hagerman. Della was previously a seamstress at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was a member of Staples Settlement Baptist Church, Lower Hainesville, NB. Besides her husband of 71 years, Della is survived by her children, Dale of Lincoln, NB, Nancy MacFarlane of Hainesville, NB, Lawrence (Joyce) of Burtts Corner, NB, Sheryrl Edwards (Barry) of Oromocto, NB, Kelly White of Springhill, NB, Karen Clark (Allan) of New Maryland, NB and Garth of Fredericton, NB; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Della was predeceased by her son, Danny; four sisters, Pearl Carten, Margaret Clark, Blanche Liston and an infant sister; six brothers, Norman, Harry, Harold, George, Donald and Alfred. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. A reception will follow. Interment will take place in Staples Settlement Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to Staples Settlement Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
