Obituary of Chester Jagoe

Life Legacy The family of the late Chester Jagoe are saddened to announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the age of 69, after a year long battle with brain cancer. Chester was born in Newcastle, NB on December 29, 1946 a son of the late Samuel Jagoe and Hazel (Mullin) Jagoe. Chester is survived by his loving wife, the former Sheila McKinny. He also leaves behind two sons, Scott and Bradley both of Brampton, ON; brothers, George, Harry, Wesley, Carson and Edward; sisters, Florence Potts, Shirley Mersereau (Ray) and Bettie Malley (Preston). In addition to his parents, Chester was predeceased by his first wife, Linda MacAllister; infant son, Martin and one brother, Percy Jagoe. Chester was an artistic person who loved drawing, sculpturing and working with metal. He was also a talented guitar player and singer. Chester worked forty years in Ontario as a welder-pipe fitter and safe designer. Upon his retirement in 2010, he returned to NB and lived in Fredericton for the past six years. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Chester’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. At this time the family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit at the Chalmers Hospital for the wonderful care Chester received during the past month.
