Obituary of Thomas Astle

A Graveside Interment Service for Thomas “Tommy” Winston Astle, of Hanwell, NB, formerly of Astle, NB, will take place in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Boiestown, NB on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2 pm. Arrangements are under the care and direction of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel.
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Thomas “Tommy” Winston Astle of Hanwell, NB, husband of the late June (Croucher) Astle occurred on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born on March 5, 1941 in Astle, NB, he was the son of the late Charles “Tom” and Eva (Hunter) Astle. Tommy enjoyed hunting and playing cards.
Tommy is survived by his daughters, Misti Case (Jason) and Tammi Jardine (Jody); grandchildren, Dayna Case, Lily Jardine, Dylan Case, Luke, Jatly and Cole Jardine; sisters, Jeanne Black (Terry) and Shirley Johnston (Fred); brothers, William “Billy” Astle (Sylvia), Duane Astle (Dianne) and Reg Astle (Nora); sister in law, Judy Astle; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Tommy was predeceased by his brother, Kendell Astle.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, New Bandon on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. David Williston officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Derek Black, Dylan Case, Luke Jardine, Josh Astle, Jatly Jardine and Cole Jardine; Honourary Pallbearers are Dayna Case, Lily Jardine, Billy, Duane and Reg Astle and Fred Johnston. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Boiestown, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery.
