Obituary of Theresa Anderson

The passing of Theresa Mae Anderson of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Robert “Bob” Anderson occurred peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 4, 1928 in Pennfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Clara (Conley) Justason. Theresa was a Past Worthy Matron of Granite Chapter No. 15 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Queen of Nereides No. 78 Daughters of the Nile and a member of the Pythian Sisters. Theresa was a wonderful, loving and much loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend and she cherished time spent with family and friends. Her greatest pride was her family who she always put before herself and her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and crafts and kept her family well outfitted in hand knit socks, mittens and sweaters over the years. In her younger years she enjoyed trailering and attending trailer rallies from Ontario to Florida with her husband. Theresa is survived by her son, Brent Anderson (Kim) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Neil and Claire Anderson; sister, Marjorie Hatt; brothers, Donald Justason (Hazel) and Sheldon Justason (Joan); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband of 65 years, Theresa was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Anderson; brothers, Wilmot and Windsor Justason. Visitation will take place at Pennfield United Baptist Church, 135 Route 778, Pennfield, NB on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 12-2 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Pallbearers for the service will be Robert, Doug, Terry and Stephen Justason, Peter Hill and Gene Chase. Internment will take place in the Pennfield United Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
