Obituary of Ronald Woodcock

Life Legacy Ron, husband of Margaret (Humble) Woodcock, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton on February 27, 2016. He was born on February 25, 1946 to the late Roy Woodcock and Myrtle (Maston) Woodcock Fairley. He is survived by his wife and his daughter who was his pride and joy, Amanda Rae Woodcock and her partner, John Wesley Chisholm of Halifax; his two brothers, Gerald (Etta) Woodcock of Nashwaak Bridge and Charles "Teddy" Woodcock of Fredericton; and nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Donald and a sister, Doreen. Ron was a heavy equipment mechanic for Diamond Construction and Springhill Construction for many years. Over the years, he enjoyed making many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home and for others. He loved working on his lawn and his garden and an occasional fishing trip with Bertie. He was so looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild this summer. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Room.
