Obituary of Germaine McGloin

The passing of Germaine Marie (Theriault) McGloin, wife of the late Arthur McGloin, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on February 14, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 18, 1930 in Saint Quentin, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hilaire and Phelomene (Savoie) Theriault. Germaine worked at the DECH as a cook for nine years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and enjoyed bowling and bingo. Germaine is survived by her children, Patricia Fradsham, Janine Foster (Jack), Sherry Savage (Art), Jocelyn Downie (David), Kim Hartlen (Ron), Terry Jenkins (Troy), Zale Bethune and Brian McGloin (Wendy); several grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Theriault, Rose Plourde (Joe), Therese St. Pierre, Lauza Desmeules (Yvon), Albert Theriault and Norman Theriault (Annette); sister-in-law, Norma Theriault and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Germaine was predeceased by her brother, Lionel Theriault. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11 am with Father Aaron Knox officiating. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.
