Obituary of Michael Gallagher
Life Legacy
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael Craig Gallagher, age 56 of Nashwaak Bridge, NB. “Big Mike’s” fondest memories were growing up in Williamsburg, visiting Lorne and Joan, haying on various farms, his special view of Red Rock, driving his rig across North America and the many years he worked in Deersdale. Michael’s passion was playing basketball and softball; watching his grandsons grow, joining his son on many sporting adventures and most of all spending time with family and friends. Simply put, he was a beautiful soul.
In addition to his wife, Corinne (O’Hara) Gallagher, “Big Mike” is survived by his son, Mikey (Michelle), grandsons, Samuel and Jackson all of Durham Bridge; brother, Gary (Monica) of Calgary, AB; birth mother, Eileen (Walsh) Wambolt of Grinrod, BC; step brother, Stephen Wambolt (Tamara) of Toronto, ON; several nieces and nephews; one great niece; one great nephew; several aunts, uncles and many cousins; he is also survived by his oldest and best friends, Laurie O’Hara, Jerry Sparkes, Tony Dunphy and Timmy MacKay. Michael was predeceased by his father, Calvin Samuel Gallagher and brother, Kenneth Eugene Gallagher.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. David Williston officiating.
