Obituary of Ralph Miles

The family of Ralph Douglas Miles, husband of the late Dorothy Miles (Robinson), of Fredericton, NB, sadly announce his passing on February 7, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 28, 1928 in Fredericton, NB, he was the younger son of the late Ralph and Hazel Miles (Young). Ralph worked for NB Power, retiring in 1988. Ralph is survived by his step-daughter, Debbie Poore; his brother, John Miles; nephews and nieces, John Miles (Deborah), Robert Miles, Leytha Miles (Ron Crabbe) all of Burlington, ON and Dalyce Miles – Laurie of Oakville, ON; first cousins, Aulder Manzer and Murray Young (Mary). In addition to his wife and parents, Ralph was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Frances Miles (Power). Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:30 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Fredericton Rural Ext. Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
