Obituary of Perley Embleton
Perley Byron Embleton passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Parkland Shannex. Perley is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bobbie (MacAthur) Embleton and their son, Kenneth Embleton (Zenny) of Halifax, NS; his sons, Terry (Jean), Richard (Marlene) and Peter (Joyce) and their mother Audrey Jones all of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Selby and Fannie (Perley) Embleton as well as nine brothers and three sisters (Embleton and MacDougall).
Perley was a member of Christ Church Cathedral. Perley worked in the After Market Auto Industry starting his career with Phillips and Pringle and later owed and operated his own business. After retirement he enjoyed some time at Auto Machinery and several summers as an interpreter at Kings Landing. Perley was a founding member of the Nashwaaksis Y’s Men’s Club, long time member of the Fredericton Golf Club, United Commercial Travellers Association and Stepping Stones. Perley loved painting, sketching and writing. He greatly enjoyed music, especially jazz and blues. He visited numerous countries and played on many of their golf courses.
Perley will be cremated under the care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB and his remains will be in the care of his wife, Bobbie until a time for a service to take place at a later date.
