Obituary of Azade Landry

The passing of Azade Joseph Landry of Fredericton, NB, husband of Diana (Davis) Landry, occurred on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 13, 1940 in Bathurst, NB, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Kathleen (Howard) Landry. AJ worked as a supervising millwright with St. Anne Nackawic Pulp and Paper. He had a passion for the outdoors, loved camping, hunting and fishing and was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years in Nackawic. AJ was affiliated with St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, AJ is survived by his daughter, Beverly Landry of St. John’s, NL; son, Jason Landry (Tina Lewis) of Port William, NS; grandchildren, Katlyn (Sean) of St. John’s, NL; brother, Ian Landry (Corrine) of Port Hawkesbury, NS; mother in law, Loretta Davis; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, AJ was predeceased by his brothers, Eugene, Roger, Vernon and Howard. There will be no visitation or service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Fredericton Community Kitchen or to the Chalmers Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit).
