Obituary of Mary Wagstaff

The passing of Mary “Joyce” Wagstaff, wife of Ray Wagstaff, occurred on December 12, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 31, 1949 in McAdam, NB she was the daughter of Louise (Milligan) and the late Cecil Kilbride. Joyce worked for BMO for more than 25 years. Joyce is a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church and she volunteered through the parish with Wheels to Meals, Boys and Girls Club plus other parish community events. Her favourite pass time was music and singing, she spent 27 years with the Elm City Echoes and Stepping Stone Singers, many fond friendships were formed there. During the winter months Ray and Joyce enjoyed their winter trips to Florida sharing with both family and friends. In addition to her mother and husband of 41 years, Joyce is survived by her daughter, Laura Cormier (John); chosen daughter, Bonnie Anne Forbes; sunshine of her life, granddaughter, Charlotte; step grandson, Jacob; siblings, Audrey Ramsey (Allan) of Miramichi, NB, Barb Murphy (George) of Ellerslie, PE, Michael Kilbride of British Columbia, Jacqueline “Jackie” Atkinson (Craig) of Edmonton, AB, John Kilbride (Carla) of McAdam, NB and Judy Kilbride of Fredericton, NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 6-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2 pm with Canon Kevin Stockall officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery. Thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, Dr. Athar, Dr. Boiviert, Dr. Raza and the Oncology Team, Extra Mural Staff and especially Dr. Deborah Gowan for all her care and concern. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the St. Mary’s Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
