Obituary of Linda Calhoun

The passing of Linda Jean Calhoun of Fredericton, NB occurred on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, with her children and family by her side. Born on August 20, 1955 in Keswick Ridge, NB, she was the daughter of Jean (Wilson) Yerxa and the late Guy Yerxa. She was a member of Greenwood Drive Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed spending her time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by son, Jeremy Calhoun (Michelle Hunter) of Lincoln, NB; her daughter, Angie Calhoun of Devon, NB; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren; siblings, John Yerxa (Veronica), Sharon Black (Phillip) and Faye King (Kevin) all of Fredericton, NB; Dwight Calhoun; several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Susan Montgomery. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her second husband, Wayne Flowers and her sister, Joyce Yerxa. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be Corey Yerxa, Shawn Black, Jordan, Jason and Joel King and Rodney Curtis. Interment will take place in Keswick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Mental Health Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
