Obituary of Shannon Malone

With deep sadness the family of Shannon John Malone announces his passing on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, just one week short of his 53rd birthday, from cardiac arrest following surgery for diabetic dysfunction of his leg circulation. As a juvenile diabetic since he was ten, Shannon suffered tremendously. Shannon is survived by his parents, Austin and Eileen Malone; two sisters, Molly Styant (Sid) of Alberta and their three sons, Nigel, Duncan and Colin; Mary Malone and son, Jacob of Fredericton, NB and one brother, Patrick Malone of Vancouver, BC. His pride and joy were his three children, Mathieu and Julie Malone and Connor Beach; grandson, Logan all of Fredericton, NB. Shannon was predeceased by his baby sister, Margaret Ellen and baby brother, Michael Austin. Shannon enjoyed his years of employment at the marina and Old Boot Pub in Gagetown, more recently he was a nursing assistant at Windsor Court where “Shannie” loved his clients and they loved him in return as did his “buddies” at the Red Lantern. A Service will be held for family and friends at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with visitation on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 12-2 pm and service immediately following at 2 pm with Father John Jennings officiating; there will be a group gathering at the Red Lantern at 4 pm, just where he would want us to be.
