Obituary of Theresa Russell
The passing of Theresa “Terry” Russell of Fredericton, NB, wife of Gregg Russell occurred on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Born on June 15, 1952 in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late James and Jacqueline (Crone) Niven. Terry took on life with a great vitality and was always moving in many directions at the same time. She loved to work in her flower beds and could be counted on to rescue plants for her friends who did not have her green thumb. She had also developed great love for travelling and along with Gregg went to many locations around the world and saw some wondrous things. Terry had worked with Integrity Home Care over the past years and was always going above and beyond for her clients whom she saw as a special part of her life. Previously you would find Terry and her late husband, Joe working early mornings at the Princess Margaret Irving. Terry also enjoyed selling Real Estate. Perhaps her most precious time was spending many hours with her two grandsons and she never missed an opportunity to have time with Brooks and Brett. In addition to her husband, Terry is survived by her step mother, Shirley Niven of Bracebridge, ON; children, Reegan McDougall (Devin) of Fredericton, NB and Ryan Fitzpatrick (Kayla) of Cole Harbour, NS; step children, Patrick Russell (Elaine) of Riverview, NB and Jenna Russell of Grand Manan, NB; grandsons, Brooks and Brett McDougall; step grandchildren, Ethan and Taylor Russell and Kohen Russell; siblings, Debbie Kerr (Rick) of Bell River, Ontario, Jim Niven of Brampton, ON and Leslie Langevin of Bracebridge, ON; sister in law, Peggie Fitzpatrick and brother in law, Reg Fitzpatrick both of Bracebridge, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph “Joe” Fitzpatrick. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. J. D. Kennedy officiating. Reception will follow at the church.
