Obituary of Elwood Gorman

Life Legacy The passing of Elwood Osbourne Gorman of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of Mavis (Bubar) Gorman, occurred on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Thomas Hall, Shannex. Born on September 18, 1915 in Burtts Corner, NB he was a son of the late Horace and Letitia (Brewer) Gorman. Elwood was a farmer as well as an insurance agent for Stanley Mutual. He was a member of the Burtts Corner Baptist Church and the Burtts Corner Brass Band. Elwood also enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his wife, Elwood is survived by his children, Carl Gorman (Alma) of Guelph, ON and Wayne Gorman (Peggy) of Hanwell, NB; grandchildren, Kevin, Karla and Steven Gorman and Stacy Richardson; great grandchildren, Anna, Emily and William Gorman, Alexandra and Cassidy Richardson, Aaron and Meghan Shaw, Kirsten and Kaitlin Gorman; sister, Pauline Bubar of Burtts Corner, NB; niece, Joan Horseman; nephew, James Bubar. Besides his parents, Elwood was predeceased by his brother, Ashley Gorman. After his mother died he was raised by his uncle and aunt, Erastus and Annie Parke. Visitation will take place at Burtts Corner Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 1-2 pm followed by a service at 2 pm with Rev. Stephen Hoyt officiating. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery.
