Dear Jim & family,
Our condolences to you, your Mom Mary, and to Jane & Jeff & their families, on the loss of your dad Ian.
We remember Ian fondly from our years together in Woolastook Presbytery and from events, suppers, & a Worship Workshop I conducted at Nashwaaksis UC. He was always a bright spot in each of those, as well as friendly, outgoing, and with good ideas, humour and lively, interesting conversation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your grief, in your travels, and as you adjust to this loss.
Blessings,
Roland & Anna

To Mary Jane, Jim, Jeff, Jane and family:
I was so saddened to hear of Ians passing, and I truly regret not being able to attend his funeral. Your family has always been a big part of my memories of growing up in Fredericton, and I have nothing but nice memories of Ian, always friendly, and a true gentleman. I am thankful of the friendship he had with Fraser, perhaps they are having a tea together in heaven. Its not easy losing such a cornerstone of your family, and my heart goes out to you all. God bless and take care.

Jane and family. On behalf of our church family as well as from our home, we send along our deepest expressions of sympathy. It has been our pleasure to spend some time in the company of a man who has enjoyed a rich life and pursued many professional and personal goals. While he will be missed by each member of the MacDonald family you will, from this time on, cherish each memory as God goes before you through this journey through the valley of the shadow of death. May the comfort you receive from the many expressions of love offered by those with you in body and spirit serve to strengthen you in this of grief.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Ian. He was such a wonderful person. Well I remember his visits to the Coburn farm and him asking if there was any applesauce. He loved this and would eat some if we happened to be eating when he arrived. Hopefully he will get applesauce now that he has received his angel wings. Thoughts and prayers for the entire family. Reflect back on all the wonderful memories you have of your wonder husband and father and grandfather.
