Obituary of Allan Hughes

The passing of Allan Lewis Hughes of Estey’s Bridge, NB occurred on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 24, 1990 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of John and Debbie (Doherty) Hughes. Allan graduated from the Atlantic Police Academy. He worked for Shadow Security. Allan loved music and animals; he belonged to the Northside Gun Club and enjoyed archery. In addition to his parents, Allan is survived by his siblings, Dylan Hughes of Saint John, NB and Lee Hughes of Edmonton, AB; maternal grandfather, James “Ned” Doherty; aunt, Diane Barry (Mike); uncles, Tim Doherty (Rose) and Dave Doherty (Debbie) and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Betty Doherty; paternal grandparents, George and Barbara Hughes and his uncle, Robert Hughes. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11 am with Father John Jennings officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery.
