Obituary of Edith DeAmbrose

It is with great sadness, the family of Edith May DeAmbrose (Weir) announces the passing of their mom on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Oyster Bed Bridge, PE at the age of 85. She was born in Joggin Bridge, NS and was formerly of Rusagonis, NB. Edith was the beloved wife of the late Walter James DeAmbrose and daughter of the late Rolland James Weir and the late Hazel Sadie Weir (Robinson). She was also predeceased by her infant daughter, Edith Saulnier. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gail MacKay (Curtis) of Leonardville, Deer Island, NB, Joan Herbert (Garth) of Rusagonis, NB, Edith Jane Bickell (Mike) of Rusagonis, NB, Lorraine Hanlon (Brian) of Oyster Bed Bridge, PE, Vincent Saulnier (Nicole) of Rusagonis, NB, Nancy Lint (Andrew) of Fredericton, NB, Rickey Saulnier of Red Deer, AB, Delaine Saulnier (Kenneth) of Fredericton, NB; step-children, Lawrence DeAmbrose (Darlene) of Saint John, NB, Gloria DeAmbrose of Saint John, NB, Gwen Hayward (Keith) of Saint John, NB, Rolland DeAmbrose of Fredericton, NB, Joseph DeAmbrose of Rusagonis, NB; treasured grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Resting will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 2-5 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lincoln, NB on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11 am with Father Mark Trzop celebrant. Flowers are welcome. Interment will be in the Waasis Cemetery, Rusagonis, NB. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
