Obituary of Jean Cunningham

The passing of Jean Elenor Cunningham, wife of Addison Cunningham, of Mactaquac, NB, occurred on September 2, 2015 at York Care Center. Born on March 9, 1925 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Milan and Mary (Moore) McKeen. Jean loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Phillip Cunningham of Mactaquac, NB and Malcolm Cunningham (Sandy) of Lower Sackville, NS; grandchildren, Clinton (Katrin) and Chad Cunningham (Shannah); step grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Mark West; great grandchildren, Wolfgang and Greta Cunningham; sisters, Nancy Sloat of Ontario and Arta Grant of Red Deer, AB; brothers, Stewart McKeen (Audrey) of Saint John, NB; daughter in law, Ethel Cunningham; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Robert Cunningham and sister, Helen Willis. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Keswick Ridge United Church on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11 am with Rev. David Luker officiating. Interment will take place in Mactaquac Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or the York Foundation.
