Life Legacy
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Merlyn Stillwell, on July 9, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital from complications associated with a heart condition. Born on September 3, 1957 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of Eleanor (Monteith) Stillwell and the late Merlyn Stillwell. Peter worked at the NB Department of Transportation as a construction worker on the surveying crew, and retired recently after almost 30 years of service. He had a good sense of humour, enjoyed tinkering with his cars and enthusiastically engaged anyone in debate. He loved his family and living in Keswick Ridge. He also enjoyed sunny summer days at Yoho Lake with family and friends.
Besides his mother, Peter is survived by his wife, Kimberley (Cogswell) Stillwell of Keswick Ridge, NB; his children, Colin, Kiera, Anne, Emily and Ian; his sisters, Brenda (John White), Colleen Stillwell, Marilyn (Kevin Calhoun) and Eloise Stillwell-Kennett; his brother, Roy (Ellen Randall); his sisters-in-law, Jennifer, Sarah and Micah; his brother-in-law, Alex Cogswell and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Elizabeth and his brother-in-law, Jeff Kennett.
Although there will be no visitation, a Funeral Service will be held from All Saints Anglican Church, Crock’s Point Road, Keswick Ridge, NB on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10 am with Rev. Deacon Debbie Edmondson officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
