To the White Family,
My thoughts are with you today as to celebrate a life well lived. We have lost the family historian for sure! From my visits with Nan as a very small child to the last in Fredericton I always enjoyed Dorothy's wealth of knowledge and pride in all things family.
Also much of my love for gardening and techniques for flourishing flower beds were fostered during my many tours of her gardens. I think it quite appropriate on this day you gather to celebrate her life that while unable to join you I will be busy putting in new flower beds, I'm sure she would approve.
Treasure your memories of your very special Aunt Dottie as she loved each and every one of you dearly.

Sorry we cannot be with you today as you celebrate Aunt Dottie. She was an integral part of the family and her legacy will remain with us. \I will remember the "outings" she took us on when we were young and before the roads were paved there were picnics and trips to Arnolds Brook where Grandpa fished for trout. As the pavement extended so our trips - to Terra Nova Park, Twillingate and Grand Falls. She took great pride in her flower garden and when ever we visited we were given a tour complete with the names of all the plants. We will remember the love she put into birthday cakes and the many salads provided for special occasions. She will be forever missed. Don & Betty.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Dorothy's passing earlier today. Toni and I became fast friends with Dorothy and Vera when we worked at Paradise Villa in Fredericton. We made an immediate connection because we were all Newfoundlanders and Dorothy took great pleasure in showing us pictures of her and Vera and the entire family taken on special occassions. She loved telling us stories about their homes in Newfoundland and of how her and Vera lived across street from each other and of how at that time they lived next door to one another at the Villa. She also showed us photos of them both working on their new home on the Northside of Fredericton especially their garden which she took great pride in. She told us stories of her teaching days in Newfoundland and it was easy to tell how much she loved her job because her face would light up when she began to talk about her former students. There's one thing we're sure of and that is Vera was the first one to greet Dorothy when she crossed over and I'm sure they're probably working on a new flower garden as we speak.
