Obituary of Leo Miner

The passing of Leo Willard Miner husband of Stella (Baldwin) Miner of McNamee, NB occurred on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in McNamee, NB on May 31, 1927 he was a son of the late John and Hester (Steward) Miner. Leo started working at age 13. He spent thirty years driving truck for Vaughn Ross and also worked twenty years in the woods. In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by his children, Amanda Johnson (Glenn), Nilah Comeau (Carl), Merna Munn, Clarence Miner, Victor Miner (Gloria); step-children, Thomas Penney (Pearl), Barbara Penney, Wayne Penney (Charmaine), Lorraine Stone (Douglas), James Penney (Ruth), Jerry Penney (Amy); sister, Anna May Elliott; brother, John Miner; large number of grandchildren and great-grand children. Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his first wife, Beridie (Price) Miner; sons, Otto Miner, Dennis Miner; step-son, Ronald Penney; sisters, Gertie Davison, Myrtle Corrie and his brother, Clarence Miner. In keeping with Leo’s wishes there will be no Visitation. A private family Graveside Service will take place at the New Bandon United Cemetery.
