Obituary of Pius Sullivan
The passing of Pius “Bud” Sullivan, of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” (Jones) Sullivan occurred on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 27, 1929 in Aroostock Junction, NB, he was the son of the late Pius and Gwyneth (Everett) Sullivan. He was the owner and operator of Sullivan’s Well Drilling. Bud enjoyed woodworking, telling stories and especially enjoyed his time spent with his family and friends.
Bud is survived by his children, Joan Cogswell (Basil) of Fredericton, NB and Darin Sullivan (Tanya) of Mactaquac, NB; step-daughter, Sandra Hamilton (Gerry) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Chanse and Brook Sullivan; step grandchildren, Jennifer Crossman and Robin Carpenter; step great grandchildren, Zoey, Hunter and Zachery Carpenter; sister, Dorena McGibbon of Douglas, NB; brother, Allan Sullivan (Mary) of St. John’s, NL; brother in law, Darrell Jones of Wassis, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Gwyneth and Marion; brothers, Harold “Dick”, Aden and Everitt.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 2 pm with Pastor Gary Bitley officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemtery.
