Obituary of Darrell MacNeill

The passing of Darrell Elmer MacNeill, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Lorraine (Morgan) MacNeill, occurred on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 9, 1940 in Kingsley, NB, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Anderson) MacNeill. Darrell was a long time member of Devon Park Baptist Church, where he served as usher for many years. He loved spending time with family and friends when ever he could. His passion in life was being in the woods, working or just simply going for a walk. Besides his wife, Darrell is survived by his son, Kevin MacNeill (Shauna) and their children, Marissa, Craig and Jarrett; daughters, Kelly Zaniol (Brian) and their children, Cole and Quinn, Cheryl Grant (Calvin) and their children, Alexa and Noah; siblings, Velma MacNeill, Eldon MacNeill (Donna), Carol Henry (Jimmy) and Ralph MacNeill; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant brothers, Douglas and Lenwood. Although there will be no visitation, a Funeral Service will be held from Devon Park Baptist Church, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Woodcock and Pastor Lawrence Meade officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church, New Brunswick Kidney Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
