Life Legacy
The passing of Theodore “Ted” Duplessis of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Theresa O’Hara-Duplessis occurred on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Theodore and Pheobe (Jenkins) Duplessis. He was employed with the City of Fredericton Transit Department, retiring after 22 years. Ted had a great love for music, he was the lead singer of the band “Drifters”; he also loved horses and motorcycles.
Ted is survived by his daughters, Jody Duplessis of Fredericton, NB and Jennifer Corbett (Rob) of Rothesay, NB; his special friend, Joanne Duplessis; six special grandchildren, Garrett, Hanna, Brady, Hailey, Katelyn and Breanna; sisters, Shirley Duplessis Robinson, Barbara Duplessis, Theresa Duplessis (Jake) and Adeline Jepson (Pat); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Leroy Duplessis.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11am. Honourary Pallbearers will be Rob Corbett, Don MacDonald, Jim Hannan, Pat Jepson, Gerry Sollows and Joe Johnstone. Interment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit.
