My sincere condolences to his family.
In the 25+ years that I have known him on the bonspiel circuit, he never had a bad word to say about another person and was the consummate entertainer. His actions brought joy to the people who he met. He will be missed.

On behalf of Team Simcoe, we offer our condolences to the Norrad family on Dick's passing. His smile and quick humor were only surpassed by his ability to get hundreds of curlers into singing and good times. Thank you for sharing him with us all these years-especially this past year when he was in failing health. His memory will last as long as any of do.

We were very saddened to hear that Dick had died, especially because it was so soon after your mother. We have lots of good memories of him entertaining us at the curling club and loved talking to him as he watched you or your son curling. No doubt there will be lots of music in your celebration of his beautiful life. We wish we could be there.

To Dick's Family:
I was so surprised to read of Dick's passing. I knew him from early childhood, he lived Albert St. in Sussex and I next to it on Cedar Ave. We were in school together from Grades 1 to 12. We enjoyed the Grad Reunions every few years, especially the sing-a-longs with Bert at the piano and Dick on the banjo. Also, his Newfie stories with the appropriate accents. He was the type of person who naturally brightened up the room and became the central focus of it.
I would like to meet the family Thursday evening, however, I expect to be out of town on Thurs. afternoon and evening.

Dear Carol, Mike, Janet, Mia & your family's,
Your dad was a ‘ unique ‘ individual and a great friend to many.
No matter where I seen Dick he always provided a beautiful smile joined with his positive spirit’s for life.
Many occasions (over the year’s) Dick joined and accompanied our grandmother Norrad with her beautiful instrument ..
she loved ' her piano '
Your father with his energetic musical friend ‘ Martha the banjo '...spiced with their gift of harmony that your dad and his brother’s provided ... B E A U T I F U L voices...the memories will live on.
We all were truly blessed to have ‘ Dick ‘ as our cousin and the four of you to have been
blessed with a great father and grandfather.
He loved you all ...
Most of all it was a privilege to have been a part of his life and that he is a ‘ special branch ‘ of
the ‘ Norrad family tree ‘ .
‘ May music be the key note of strength during this difficult time.. ‘
Thinking of you ALL...
Cousin Gail
