Obituary of Ruth Staples

It is with great sadness and lots of love we announce the passing of Ruth Estella (Brewer) Staples of Zealand, NB, wife of the late Dean Staples. Born on September 23, 1941 in Burtt’s Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late William S. Brewer and Doris (Haines) Brewer Allen. Ruth ran the local store in Zealand, NB for many years. People who met her loved her immediately. She is survived by her sister, Irma Pugh (Phil) of Zealand, NB; brothers, William Brewer (Janice) of Fredericton, NB and Edward Allen of Burtts Corner, NB; a chosen granddaughter, Jessica Henry; special friends, Ronald Scott and Jocelyn Brewer; many nieces and nephews, and her dog, Duchess “Baby Doll”. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her step father, Gordon Allen and nephew, Chris Pugh. Although there will be no visitation or funeral by her request; a graveside service will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Zealand, NB at a later date.
