Obituary of Hazel MacLean
The passing of Hazel Doris (Kincade) MacLean, wife of the late Charles A. MacLean, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, March 20, 2015 at York Care Centre. Born on October 3, 1920 in Cody’s, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Daisie (Brown) Kincade. Hazel was a member of the Brunswick Street Baptist Church and later a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Church Librarian and Past Vice President of WMPF of the Alliance Church.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Luella Bredin (Pastor Mark) of PE; five grandchildren, Lori Gard (Brian), Kristen Paulino (Jason), Erin Stretch (Danny), Matthew Bredin and Michael Bredin (Alyson); seven great grandchildren; sisters, Vera Erb of Moncton, NB, Velzora Todd (Kenneth) of Saint John, NB and Joanne Manning (Doug) of Mississauga, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jean MacLean; son, Eldon MacLean; sisters, Verna Kincade, Zelda Carle, Donna Varga, Betty Kincade and Margaret Shaw; two infant sisters, Shirley and Glenna; brothers, Russell, Norval and Ronald Kincade
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 12-2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. Bob Dunlop officiating. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the NB Bible Institute or the York Care Foundation.
