Obituary of Otto Fraser

The passing of Otto “Ottie” Alexander Fraser, husband of the late Vera (Fairley) Fraser, of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at his home. Born on August 13, 1923, in Nashwaak Bridge, he was the son of the late Albert and Annie (Clark) Fraser. Ottie was an active member of South Portage Baptist Bible Church. He was also involved with Gideon’s International in Canada. Ottie is survived by his daughter, Lynn Price of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; his son, Wayne Fraser (Faye) of Quispamsis, NB; son-in-law, Allan Currie of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; ten grandchildren, Troy Price (Janice), Angela Hawkins (Bob), Brent Fraser (Heather), Andrew Currie (Lisa), Craig Fraser (Christie), Joanne Williams (Scott), Gina Wallace (Steve), Mark Currie, Trevor Fraser (Erica) and Suzanne Oldford (Jon); sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lois Currie; son-in-law, Willis Price; his great grandson, Jamie Hawkins; his sister, Ruby MacDonald; his brother, Ernie Fraser; and granddaughter-in-law, Dana Fraser. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 2 to 8 pm and again on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm; followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Pastor Pat McAloon and Rev. Matthew Little officiating. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to South Portage Baptist Bible Church, Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or to the Fredericton and Area Down Syndrome Society.
