Obituary of Grace MacDougall

Grace Irene (Foreman) MacDougall, of Fredericton, NB passed away on March 13, 2015 at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB. Born on April 17, 1929 to the late John and Elizabeth (Scott) Foreman, she was raised on their farm in English Settlement, NB. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas MacDougall, two brothers, Murray and Malcolm and her sister-in-law Edna Cameron Grace is survived by her sons, Stewart (Janice), Stephen (Heather), Gray (Janie) and Mark (Sally), two grandsons, Adam and Bradley, two brothers, Lester Foreman (Linda) and Stanley Foreman (Sheila), nieces Krista (Foreman) McMinn and Karen Foreman-Cormier, nephews, Jeff, Brian, and Michael Foreman, and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Margaret MacDougall and Helen Horner and by Helen’s son David and daughter Susan (Delange), Edna Cameron’s daughter Betty (Comeau), their spouses and several children and grandchildren of those families. Grace was a member of the congregation of Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton, NB. Her favourite pastimes were gardening, knitting, quilting, baking and listening to music. She loved all children and animals and opened her home to the neighbourhood kids, a number of dogs and cats (and one rabbit) while supporting her four sons in all their various endeavours and encouraging them to find their own way in the world. She will be missed. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2 pm with Archdeacon John T. Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Stanley, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
