Obituary of Marjorie Saunders

Marjorie Dora Saunders of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Murray Saunders went to her eternal home on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the York Care Centre. Born in Maple Grove, NB on October 23, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Allan and Elizabeth M. (Ross) Foreman. Marjorie worked for Capital Co-op. She was a faithful member of Devon Park Baptist Church; she was also a member of Caleb’s Clan (Senior’s Group) and Friendly Auxiliary. Marjorie was a devoted Mother to two daughters, Elizabeth (Dean) Edgett, Browns Flat, NB and Doreen Thorne of Fredericton, NB; loving Grandmother to five grandchildren, David (Marsha) Edgett of Moncton, NB, Heather (Chad) Nesrallah, Ottawa, ON, Brent Thorne and Stephen Thorne of Fredericton, NB, Krista (Mark) Clark of Fredericton, NB and five great grandchildren, Ashton, Joel and Alexa Clark all of Fredericton, NB, Madison Edgett of Moncton, NB and Ashley Burchel of Virginia, US; dear sister-in-law to Kathleen Holyoke and Enid Pugh of Fredericton, NB and Aunt to several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie was predeceased by her sisters, Bessie Foreman, Mima Blakney and Mary McConnell; brother, William and Grandson, Allan Edgett. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Devon Park Baptist Church on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Woodcock officiating, Pastor Rob Burns and Rev. Bob Dunlop assisting. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church, Gideon Bible Plan, Extra Mural, the York Care Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
