Obituary of Bruce Wishart

The passing of Bruce William Wishart of Fredericton, New Brunswick, husband of Edna (Munroe) Wishart, occurred on February 19, 2015 at Windsor Court Retirement Residence. Bruce was born on April 21, 1932 in Wishart Point, New Brunswick. In Bruce’s off time from running his business, Whisco Limited, he loved his trips “Over home” to the Duck House, visiting with family, going to the beach, digging clams and cooking hot dogs with his wife, his children, grandchildren and friends. He also enjoyed travelling, visiting many southern vacation destinations, enjoying the wonderful friends and communities of which he and Edna became a part over the years. Bruce is survived by his wife Edna, children; Paul (Lori) of Calgary, Jennifer (Ronald) and David (Jill), both of Fredericton, grandchildren; Ian, Owen, and Andrew Wishart of Calgary, and Emily Hildebrand of Fredericton; brother, John (Marilyn) Wishart, and sisters Bette (Ross) Strang and Janet (Larry) Stymiest; two aunts, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Florrie Wishart, and his brother Lorne Wishart. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Gibson Memorial United Church on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Brian MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Tabusintac Riverside Cemetery, also at a later time. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton Food Bank or a charity of the donor’s choice.
