Obituary of Gerald Kirkpatrick

The passing of Gerald Frederick Kirkpatrick of Fredericton, NB occurred on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 22, 1950 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Alice (Hay) Kirkpatrick and the late Thomas Kirkpatrick. Gerald attended the Nasonworth Baptist Church and Sunday School. He enjoyed his time at the Murray F. Humes School, Jobs Unlimited and going to the Rotary Camp. In addition to his mother, Gerald is survived by his sister, Joyce Humble (Doug) of Rusagonis, NB and brother, Peter Kirkpatrick of Napadogan, NB; niece, Erica Humble; uncle, Garnet Hay (Shirley); aunts, Marie MacKay, Joan Hay and Velma Hay. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Zana Kirkpatrick; aunt, Connie O’Leary (Michael); uncles, Ferdinand Hay, Owen Hay and Glen MacKay. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 3-6 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Kelly Burke officiating. Interment will take place in Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
