Obituary of Judy Kirby

Kirby, Catherine Julia Ellen “Judy” It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Kirby announces her sudden and unexpected passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 18, 2015. Born on July 16, 1953 in Caines River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Annie Colford. Judy was a devoted employee of the York North Veneer Products Inc. for over 20 years and was a homecare worker for 12 years as well. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church and the St. Patrick’s CWL. Judy loved music, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Judy was the wife of Gregory Kirby of Green Hill (Stanley) for 43 years. She was the devoted mother to Blake (Vicki) and Jolene (Jamie Munn). Judy adored and spent a lot of time with her grandchildren, Kyle, Derrick, Logan, Kasey and Sara, Kayla and Jenna and her great grandchild, Gage. She is survived by her sisters, Alice Veno, Betty (Edwin) Donnally, Bernice (Darrel) Green, Wilma (Gilbert) Thibodeau, Valerie Colford, Florence (Donald) Colford, Faye (Phil) Colford; brothers, Kenny (Helen), Perry (Mary Jane), Maxwell (Carmen), and Ronnie (Joanne); sisters-in-law, Doreen and Leona; many nieces and nephews. Judy was surrounded by her family at the hospital until the end. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Annie Colford, and her in-laws, Leo and Marguerite Kirby, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Carl and Anna Kirby; niece, Amanda; nephews, Joel and Jimmy Lee Visitation will take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 9-11am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date. No flowers by request please, for those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
