Life Legacy The passing of Bernice Mildred (Foster) Yerxa of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of the late Clifford A. Yerxa occurred on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 12, 1925 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Winnifred (Foreman) Foster. Bernice graduated from the Provincial Normal School, she taught at many schools in the area including, Canterbury, Sisson Settlement, Upper Keswick and Upper Stone Ridge. Bernice continued working for NB Power for over 35 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Dorn Ridge Church of Christ and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Bernice is survived by her stepdaughter, Marg Goos; grandchildren, Arnold Goos (Shelley), Janice Webber (Byron), Gordie Goos (Tanya); great grandchildren, Joey (Courtney), Jonathon (Callista), Rebecca (Dean), Jacob, Jordan, Gracie; great great grandchildren; brothers, Stewart Foster (Betty), Carl Foster; sisters-in-law, Vivian Foster, Pauline Foster and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Bernice was predeceased by brothers, Wendall and Eldon Foster; nephew, Greg Foster. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 3-7 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Weatherby officiating. Interment will take place in Keswick Cemetery at a later date.
