Obituary of Percy Jagoe
The passing of Percy Alan Jagoe of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late June (Gillespie) Jagoe occurred on Friday, January 2, 2015 at home. Born on February 17, 1941 in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Samuel and Hazel (Mullin) Jagoe. Percy was the Meat Manager at Steinberg’s and the Atlantic Superstore. He was an auxiliary member of the RCMP for 21 years. Percy enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, singing and playing guitar, bowling with his RCMP friends at Kingswood and time spent socializing at Tim Horton’s. He was a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church. Warm was his heart and his faith was strong.
Percy is survived by his daughter, Kelly Cormier (Leo-Paul) of Toronto, ON; sons, Wayne Jagoe (Cathy) of Fredericton, NB, Wesley Jagoe (Jeanne) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren, Nicholas, Cody, Molly, Finley; sisters, Florence Potts of Fredericton, NB, Bettie Malley (Preston) of Fredericton, NB, Shirley Mersereau (Ray) of Harvey Station, NB; brothers, George Jagoe (late Ardele) of Miramichi, NB, Harry Jagoe (late Carmel) of Miramichi, NB, Wesley Jagoe (Mable) of PEI, Carson Jagoe (Ann) of Ontario, Edward Jagoe (Sharon) of Fredericton, NB, Chester Jagoe (Sheila) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 4-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place in Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ross officiating and Rev. Jeff Crabtree assisting. Interment will take place in Doaktown United Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
