Obituary of Dorothy Madsen

Life Legacy The passing of Dorothy Farrell (Coughlan) Madsen of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Lloyd Madsen occurred on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born on July 26, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Farrell) Coughlan. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Wanda Smith (Doug) of Fredericton, NB; son, Daryl Underhill (Mary Jane) of Sussex, NB; grandchildren, Sheldon (Theresa), Ian (Tammy), Shyanne (Dennis), Jonathan and Deanne (Mike); eight great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Dawson (Patrick) of Vancouver, BC; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Underhill; son, Alan Underhill; brothers, Clarence “Bud” Coughlan and Harold Coughlan. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes there will be no visitation or service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Lung Association of New Brunswick or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home.
