Life Legacy
The death of Jessie Leota Schwartz occurred Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the DECRH in Fredericton, NB. Jessie was born in Stanley, NB on April 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Eldon and Lena (McBean) Sherwood. Survived by her husband, Herbert R. Schwartz; sons, Roger (Susan) and Douglas (Louise); daughters, Charlotte (Graydon) Cook and Marilyn (Bill) Conley; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister and brother, Doris Pinnock and Otto (Ted) Sherwood. She was predeceased by sister, Noreen Dorcas and brother, John Sherwood.
Prior to marrying Herb and raising her family, Jessie worked as a stenographer at The Central Trust in Fredericton for several years. She loved to sew, quilt and paint and enjoyed poetry and reading. Jessie was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church where she was involved in ACW and Bible studies. She also loved her friends and Bible studies at the Christian Reformed Church. She served many years as a member of the York Manor Auxiliary. Jessie loved her family, and her faith was in Christ was strong and very important to her.
Visitors will be received at St. John the Evangelist Church on Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. with the funeral from the same location on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
