Obituary of William Michael Curtis

The passing of William Michael “Mike” Curtis of Edmonton, AB occurred on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 9, 1979 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Corinne Flemming and the late Terrance “Terry” Curtis. He was the Office Manager of Tech Heat Treatment. Mike was an avid sports fan, a great supporter of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins and also enjoyed Nascar, playing hockey and poker trips to Vegas. He was a naturalist and liked to hunt. Mike enjoyed the finer things in life and lived for the moment; he was great at telling a story. In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his sister, Laura Curtis of Fredericton, NB; paternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth (Jordan) Curtis of Fredericton, NB, maternal grandmother, Marjorie Flemming of Lincoln, NB; two nephews, Carmine and Corbin. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Carl Flemming. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 5-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. A. J. Plaizier and Susan Weisenburger officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Juvenile Diabetes or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
