Obituary of Hartley Morehouse

Life Legacy The passing of Hartley Rupert Morehouse of Douglas, NB, husband of Dianne (Ross) Morehouse occurred on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at home. Born on May 29, 1939 in Zealand, NB, he was a son of the late Frank and Ruby (Brewer) Morehouse. He was the Assistant Comptroller at UNB, before his retirement. Hartley was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Fredericton and St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Zealand. He was a member of the Guild of St. Joseph at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Hartley volunteered with multiple organizations. He enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking and gardening. He also like travelling, RV’ing and spending winters in Florida. Hartley’s first priority was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Hartley is survived by his daughter, Krista Skinner (Nigel) of Hanwell, NB; son, Kevin Morehouse (Tina Saunders) of Hanwell, NB; sister, Helena Crouse (Wansley) of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Frank Morehouse of New Maryland, NB and Leon Morehouse (Pat Hamm) of Brandon, MB; several nieces and nephews; granddog, Kallie. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2 pm with Archdeacon John T. Sharpe and Rev. Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association.
