Obituary of Normand Allain

The passing of Normand Joseph Allain of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, at the age of 81. Born on November 11, 1933 in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Edmond and Elmire (Cormier) Allain. Normand worked for various car dealerships across Canada, for over 50 years, as both a Sales Manager and a General Manager. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. Normand will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and his enthusiasm for sports. He is survived by his spouse, Marie Allain; daughters, Dianne Allain (Joanne), Michelle Allain-Riley (Lionel) and Monique Stephen (Todd); sons, Ron Allain, Bernie Allain and Jerry Allain; grandchildren, Matthew Niles, Michael Allain, Brittni Allain, Zackarie Allain, William Stephen, Derek Stephen, Ryan Kelly, Nathan Riley, Wesley Riley and Molly; great grandchildren, Brady Allain, Skyler Allain, Noah Wall, Aaryk Wall, Harper Wall and Mateo Niles; sisters, Laurita Richard (Alcime) of Buctouche, NB and Geraldine Brown of Bridgeport, CT; brothers, Donald Allain of Whitby, ON and Raymond Allain of Milford, CT; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Annette Maillet and Claudette Bordage; brother, Ronald Allain and Laurie Allain. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Fredericton Hospice.
