Obituary of Ross Gibson

The passing of Ross Henderson Gibson of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Taxis River, NB, husband of Austina Bubar, occurred on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 9, 1934 in Taxis River, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Laura Grace (Davis) Gibson. Ross worked for ACL Lumber Mill. In addition to his wife, Ross is survived by his sons, Thomas Gibson (Anna-Marie Hunter) of Fredericton, NB, Rodger Bubar (Gloria) of Doaktown, NB and Ross Gibson (Jane Tuttle) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; step son, Derrick Bubar (Sonia Lunn); granddaughter, Christa Gibson; grandson, Logan Fowler; great grandsons, Cody Gibson; step grandsons, Jamie and Christian Bubar, Taylor Tuttle and Ricky Munn; step granddaughters, Karen Nickerson, Nora Munn, Mindy Snow and Kimberley Tuttle; brother, Varney Gibson of Carlisle, NB; sisters in law, Eileen, Gladys and Erma Gibson; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Lorena Hickey (Laurie), Margaretta Munn (Ralph), Nellie Black (William), Phyllis Clowater (Bennett) and Eileen Green (Greg); brothers, Stafford, Clarence, Kenneth and Melvin Gibson; two sisters in law, Roberta and Floris Gibson. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Patti Armstrong officiating. Interment will take place at Boiestown United Church Cemetery at a later date.
