Obituary of Christian Jensen

The passing of Christian “Chris” Eric Jensen of Fredericton, NB, husband of Susan Henley occurred on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Plaster Rock, NB, on February 7, 1961, he was the son of Eileen Taylor and Phil Jensen. Along with his parents and wife, he is survived by his daughters, Jordan Bull of Toronto, ON and Courtney Bull of Saint John, NB; siblings, Lisa Jensen Jones and Peter Jensen; nieces and nephews, Jessie Kenny, Stephen Jensen, Ted Jones and Kate Michaud; mother and father in law, Marlene and David Henley of Woodstock, NB; sisters in law, Stephanie (Troy) Henley Beasley of Maitland, FL and Pamela (Stephen) Henley Hutchinson of Oakville, ON. Chris was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Jensen. Chris was a highly respected financial advisor and was the president of Jensen Financial Group. He took great pride in his client relationships and enjoyed being able to help provide solid advice to each and every one of them. Chris was an avid snowmobiler and was the ultimate organizer when it came to planning each and every trip from accommodations, to where to eat and what to pack. Everyone was looked after. Chris loved to salmon fish and was a member of the Miramichi Salmon Federation Club. He was a self taught skilled carpenter and loved building things for everyone. The love for his dogs trumped just about anything, the first being the amazing Sprocket, Molly and Charley and now Jagr and Kayda. If you loved his dogs, you had a friend for life. Chris touched the lives of many people and he will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 2-5 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Nashwaaksis United Church on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. J. D. Kennedy officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Carleton County Animal Shelter, Fredericton and or Oromocto SPCA, Fredericton Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice. We would like to thank all the amazing nurses with the Extra Mural program who helped Chris stay home as long as he did, but especially Kim Baxter and Mike Clarke, thank you to Dr Russ Gowan, Dr Graeme Young, thank you to the palliative team of Dr Debbie Gowan and Dr Jennifer Gillis Doyle who worked many miracles for Chris and thank you to the nurses in palliative care and oncology who are so kind an knowledgeable. A special thanks to Michaela Farnsworth who loves our dogs almost as much as we do and made it possible for us to stay night after night at the DECH without worry. We would also like to thank our “A –Team” who made life both liveable and bearable; Wayne and Wendy Hallihan, Kelly Boldon, Tom Davis, Gary Albert and Danny Melanson who put smiles on our faces, did many things without being asked and gave up many hours every day just to sit and make Chris feel glad to be alive. There is no way to ever thank you enough. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
