Born on June 8, 1932 in Manchester, England, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Barlow) Williams. Sheila could be seen walking along the river trails with her best friend, Allie or walking Charlie and Reilly around Fulton Heights. Sheila would leave gifts of baking in her grandchildren’s fridges after a baking blitz. She fought a courageous battle with pancreatic septicaemia but lost her fight to complications related to the illness. Sheila is survived by her sons, Paul Fleming (Maureen) of Fredericton, NB and Gary Fleming (Shona) of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Mark of Oxford, England, Matthew (Monique) of Fredericton, NB, Iain and Megan both of Ottawa, ON; great granddaughter, Eden; nephew, John Lockerbie (Brenda); best friend, Alice Meaghan and her wonderful neighbours, Sylvia and Harold Sharpe. Special thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff in the DECRH, ICU and 4SE for going above and beyond in providing excellent care to our loved one.
